Dallas Symphony Orchestra
Meghan and I went to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra yesterday. We heard Tchaikovsy's Romeo and Juliet! You all are familiar with it, trust me!
They also played Prokofiev's Concerto No. I in D Major for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 19. It was how you say... poopy.
Then after the Intermission we heard Ravel's Tzigane for Violin and Orchestra and Suite No. 2 from Daphnis et Chloe. The latter was amazingly awesome!
Fun Fact: Acoustically the Dallas Symphony Hall is the second best in the world, second only to the Vienna Opera House... where I saw Don Giovanni w/ Domenic and Thomas! Do I have good taste or what?
~awesome sean
A.S. At the beginning we sat in the Grand Tier then after Intermission we creeped down to 'Lodge" seating, the best seats in the whole house!
A.A.S. Also for dinner we went to "IL Sole" a really nice Italian grotto-type-thing, and had some great food and wine!
A.A.A.S. It appears Dallas does have some culture... who knew... If any of you guys get down here we should go again... it was wonderful!
