My review of 300

To be honest I loved this movie. It was very creative, artisticly well done, visually please, the music was incredible and it showed real men fighting for a good cause. Many people "in my area" (if you know what I mean) Thought it was horrible, they said too much fighting, or fighting for a bad purpsoe. I think alot of people went in with preconcieved notions which I did not. I thought that the blood shed was very artisticly well done, it was not gory in any sense. The Spartans always get labled as boy lovers which was in fact true, but this showed nothing of that fact, in fact they accused the anthenians of this. Very funny. Their was a sex scene which wasn't needed but if you looked at it in respects of a man and woman who are married and truly living out thier vocational call to love each other then it was fine. Still not needed. Their were alot of female breast shots, but it was not done in a graphic full out pornographic flict. It was done in a way to represent greek culture and history, like all the paintings sculptures and pottery you see in history books. It was I thought tastefully done but still not need. It could have been worse though. I also thought that the way a man shoud be presented and fight for what he beleives in was presented very well. This was what the men of sparta did. They fought for thier country and to go down in history . Amazing story truly. One of the guys metioned that it was very pro-bush. Thought that was interesting idea. Overall good movie, I'd give it a B+ and definatly one I'd see again.
