"A sesame seed paste called tahini, used to make the popular Middle Eastern dip hummus, may be at the center of a salmonella outbreak linked to the Taste of Chicago, the owner of the restaurant that served the hummus said Thursday.
...By Thursday afternoon, there were nine confirmed cases of salmonellosis and 126 people, including out-of-towners, who have gotten sick. All ate at the Pars Cove booth. Ten people have been hospitalized."
Take appropriate percautions.

fools. it wasn't the hummus. it was the plastic plates they SERVE the hummus on.
the real question is - why did 126 people eat plastic plates? discover that, my friends, and you shall quickly find yourself in the dark heart of this infernal mystery.
