DSQD!

Now for another awesome installment of Duns Scotus Qoute of the Day!

From the, "De Metaphysica - Part - Se Entis Passionum Deductione":

"Those who deny a first principle should be beaten or exposed to fire until they concede that to burn and not to burn, or to be beaten and not to be beaten, are not identical. And so too, those who deny that some being is contingent should be exposed to torments until they concede that it is possible for them not to be tormented."

Brilliant!

Put a fork in me, because I am done!

I have wanted to do this sooooo very, very, many times to silly relativists. I think Papa B. XVI would consent to such a practice? Don't you?

~awesome sean

P.S. Okay, you caught me... Duns Scotus is qouting Avicenna, but only because he agrees and could not phrase the thought any better himself.

Finally something from Dunce Scrotus that I can agree with. And I agree with Brendan, too.

IC of the BVM thingie?!?!

Obviously, without me up there the conversation had taken a turn for the worst.

What does that even mean?

Awesome quote Sean.
I think the same should be applied to those who say that there is no truth and to sceptics in general. There would be fewer of them in any case, whether they discovered their errors or not.

is the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thom is showing Dominican tendencies (which is generally healthy) by not wanting to talk about it. He also proves his orthodoxy by agreeing with Duns Scotus on this dogmatic point.
