I just finished Kafka's Metamorphosis. It is a short novel about a young man who awakens to find that he has been transformed into a giant vermin (basically a cockroach). The story is beyond disgusting, but almost impossible to put down once started. So if you want to learn about the internal workings of a man turned bug this book is for you!
