Buru in the News!
It's Friday so you know what time it is! That's right! It's time for another weekly roundup of Buru in the News!- "The Law Enforcement Section, Department of Immigration and National Registration conducted patrols along Brunei waters by using two patrol boats - 'Banteras' and 'Buru' - at the country's entry and exit points yesterday." Read next to find out what the Buru patrol boat does to illegal immigrants!
- "Later that night Otieno managed to 'convince' the woman to accompany him to his house in Buru Buru. When they reached home, the woman asked whether she could have more drinks to which Otieno obliged because he had some bottles in the house. It was while they were enjoying the nightcap that she slipped what the mystery novels refer to as a ‘Mickey’ into his drink and Otieno was soon snoring on the table. Then she went the gate and somehow befriended the watchman, who helped her to steal his video and DVD players, mobile phone and all the money Oteino had. Read next to learn about what the watchman decided to do - it is Buru Buru Island after all!
- "While she’s not saying the name of the song/songs she’s entering either, she promises it will continue along the line of the traditional Buru Brokdong style, much like the Balahu which won her Artist of the Year and Song of the Year at the first competition." Read next to see what horrible combination of words will assault you next! You'll be amazed!
And in case you were wondering, that image above is the "lau buru" ("four heads") and is considered to be an "ancient Indo-European symbol. A symbol for what? Gee, I wonder. Just take a look at it again and see if you can guess! Wee!
Tune in next week for another exciting episode of Buru in the News!

Recent research convinces area blogger about evils of scientific establishment
Recent research from Durham University that warmer climates are causing seals to mate more often was met with distress and even anger by area blogger Thomas Anderson."That's just sick and disgusting - who pays for this kind of stuff? I want to know. You're telling me that someone actually signed-off on this dude flying to some remote Scottish Island so he could spy on a bunch of seals getting busy?"
Dr. Sean Twiss's research, published recently in the Royal Society's Biology Letters journal, found that "Due to climate change female grey seals are being forced to travel further for drinking water - removing them from the watchful eye of the dominant males and allowing the subordinate males to take advantage."
Area blogger Thomas Anderson was quick to respond. "Who cares? It's shocking to realize that modern scientific journals are nothing more than the animal-equivalent of Esquire magazine!"
When shown the picture that prefixes this article of a male seal taking advantage of this climactic shift, Mr. Anderson's response was instant. "EEEWWWWW! My tax dollars are going to purchase high-end cameras so we can take ultra-resolution pictures of a couple baked Seals in their disgustingly-human post-coitus languor?"
Further details of the study, including the fact that "During the nine-year study, Dr Twiss and his colleagues recorded a 61 per cent increase in the number of males contributing to the genetic pool," only further aggravated Mr. Anderson.
"Nine ... years? This guy's been stalking those seals for nine years, and Science is footing that bill? How could they have such accurate percentage measurements if they weren't present for every last conjugal visit between overheating seals during those entire nine years? Unbelievable. Mozart wrote Sonatas in an afternoon. He didn't spend his time following his cat around the house to see if it would score."
A male seal who participated in the study (and requested to remain annonymous), when asked to respond to Mr. Anderson's comments, replied: "Well, sure at first it was a bit akward having those researchers around, but in the end I was just so hot and there were so many unprotected seals around that I couldn't help myself." Queried whether the researches interfered at all with their normal behavior, the male seal responded: "No, I'd say it helped that those gentlemen from Durham University were giving out alcohol to all of us."

Unfortunate...
Dallas, TX -Police said a 12-year-old boy and his sister held up an East Dallas convenience store, but they were after candy instead of money.
The boy pulled a pistol, grabbed the treat and walked out just before school Wednesday morning, police said.
Dallas police are working with school leaders to identify the children.
This article begs the questions, "Just how dumb are our young?", "What kind of education are they recieving?"
This child, by the early age of 12, did not know that you always go after the cash register... not the merchandise. Especially candy, there is no black market for sweets. That kid is going to have to eat all that suger himself... then cavities, and a life of decayed, yellow, grins.... he is getting whats comin' to him!
Which brings me to another aspect of societal decay, Hollywood. Yes, even Hollywood has betrayed our core capitalistic values for a life of epicurian vice. If that child watched the classics such as Scarface, and Goodfellas, he would know go for the green... Yet, he is probably watching the Cookie Monster or Winnie the Pooh, that obese, gluttonous, bear of the honey hive. Everywhere he turns the media pushs the cancerous coco bean down his throat.
We used to be capitalists, not bavarian fudge slugs...
This kid should be found and reprimanded, it is never too early to learn:

Immaculate Conception
THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
I finally get it! It took a whole semester, but 15 hours before my Duns Scotus final exam, a class I have been lost in from day one, it all fell into place! I must have reached critical mass and it suddenly just clicked! I could not feel anymore confident and it all happened in an 2 hour period or so!It has to be a miracle, on this Feast in honor of the Doctrine of the Immaculate Conception, a doctrine that Blessed Duns Scotus helped define!
So ask me anything...
I gots it all in the tasty mellon that rests upon my ever so superbly slender and sexy neck.
Avast! What have ye matey?
Right Ho!

Awesome (Man) Law:
15. When calling shotgun, all riders of the car must be outside, and shotgun can only be called when the car is in view. Riders in the car are not allowed to run to shotgun and steal it before the person who called and deserves it arrives there. The driver of the car has no authority to decide on who gets shotgun. If a legitimate confrontation comes up where the rightful owner of the shotgun can not be determined then it will be decided by one round of paper rock scissors (with no shoot). If the two contenders tie 5 times in a row then the rightful owner of the shotgun is to be decided by a UFC cage match in which the first blood drawn decides the rightful owner of shotgun.
Addendum to Man Law No. 15:If at any point during the process of determining the shotgun rider a hot girl hints that she would like to sit up front the driver has the sole right to declare her the shotgun rider and depending upon the situation may even deny rides to all other passengers. However, if said hot girl is an ex of any passenger they may overrule the driver's decision and make her ride in the back. Additionally, if all passengers happen to be female then revert back to original method of deciding shotgun rider substituting mud wrestling for UFC cage match. The winner then gets either a cold water hose down or shotgun the next ride unless the car is really shitty and the owner doesn’t care about muddy seats.

If Dr. Dietrich decided to take a plane ride...
The Tennessean - (12/5/2006) Flatulence brought 99 passengers on an American Airlines flight to an unscheduled visit to Nashville early Monday morning.
The plane landed safely. The FBI, Transportation Safety Administration and airport authority responded to the emergency, Lowrance said.
The FBI questioned a passenger who admitted she struck the matches in an attempt to conceal body odor, Lowrance said. The woman lives near Dallas and has a medical condition.
The flight took off again, but the woman was not allowed back on the plane.
"American has banned her for a long time," Lowrance said.
Iraq, then Iran, then...
It is a well known fact that they only have a few horses, some snow dogs and a mule so we can probably just walk in. Here's the basic idea:
I already think I have overplanned this thing... it most likely will be much easier than this. I mean we might not even have to walk... we might only need to just say you are now Michigan Jr. and that will be that.Canada is rich in snow deposits and known for its French type people (another reason for an assured victory).
Once again proving that the greatest asset favouring Canada in war with the US is an unmarked map, Gen. McNally has drawn out invasion plans that deftly avoid all the population centres in the country. Go ahead with your invasion, Sean. No one will notice. Tell me all about the tundra when you get back.
I've managed to secure an intelligence picture of one of the "population centres" that Domenic mentions in his comments:
Hopefully these "population centres" do not put up too much resistance. We might have to bring a screwdriver to get past their stalwart defences...Monday, December 04, 2006
OH, OCKHAM:
"The animality of animal M is numerically the same as the animality of animal N', which is excluded by, and 'The animality of animal M is similar to the animality of animal N'. However, if the latter is true, there must be something - call it animality - with respect to which the animality of animal M resembles the animality of the animal N. By this argument, the animality of the animality of animal M cannot be numerically the same as the animality of the animality of animal N."
If I ever finish this paper...
WANTED
NAPLES, FL. (AP) - Authorities say a man of giant proportions driving a float in the Ave Maria University Christmas parade has been charged with drunk driving after he passed another float then sped down Main Street, severely injuring several Physics and Math Majors.
When officers caught up to 10 foot Christopher Felix, (who had too much free time since he finished his finals so early), he had an open container of alcohol in the truck.
Witnesses say Felix was driving in line in Sunday's parade when he pulled out to pass a tractor in the float.
Police say Felix sped down Main Street and ran a red light, while a witness on the float called 911 on a cell phone.
Felix, who was driving many children and nuns on the float, faces more than three dozen charges, including DUI, kidnapping and assaulting an officer. He would have had a bond hearing on the kidnapping charge later this week, but he used his gargantuan feet and stomped on an officer's nose and escaped. He is considered boozed-up and extremely tanked. So not approach without a six-pack.
